A 45-Year Tradition
Now celebrating its 45th year, the Galena Halloween Parade & Festival has become a Midwest fall tradition. Every October, Galena’s Main Street transforms into a glowing, festive scene filled with:
- 🎺 Marching bands
- 🧙 Costumed participants (with prizes!)
- 🌟 Dazzling floats lit up for the night
- 🍬 Treats for kids and families along the route
Before the parade, families can also stop by the Kids Fest and grab a bite at the Food Festival.

Getting There
Parking downtown fills quickly, so shuttle service is the easiest option:
- 🚍 Shuttles leave from the Walmart lot off US 20 starting at 3 PM.
- Last shuttle before the parade departs at 5:30 PM.
- Return shuttles run until 9:15 PM.
- Cost: $5 round-trip per person (ages 6+), includes a wristband.
Prefer to drive? Public parking lots nearby offer both free and paid options.
